Unit History: 39th Light Anti Aircraft Regiment

Served with 1st Army in Tunisia.
Served with 5th Army in Italy as part of IV corp.
Converted to an infantry regiment. Served 6 months from South bank of the Arno river up the coastal plain and the Gothic line into the Appenines. Under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Lewis H Mackay.
