I can recall meeting up with an RMP CPL at Chester General Station ,who was from Mold.It was as we were both returning to BAOR from home leave.I don`t recall his name, but I think he was returning to his RMP unit at BIELEFELDT.Later on I was to meet up with him at the Sennelager Ranges, when were both on a scheme there, later that year.If that CPL reads this brief note, would he please get in touch via Forces Reunited. We had a pint at a pub opposite Liverpool ST,whilst waiting for the military train to Harwich.
We had a game of darts whilst waiting for the military train to Harwich. As I remember it,we got separated by the ship`s RSM,who lumbered each of us with Deck Commander`s duty,on the Troopship PRINCESS VICTORIA.For now that`s my memory, except for wishing all the best to all those who voyaged from Harwich to The Hook of Holland, and back,as we made our way via military train,to and from our bases in BAOR.Any body out there remember the Princess Victoria? All the best to all from Cpl Dougie (Taffy ) Peters.
