Territorial Army unit based at 66 Tredegar Road, Bow, London E3. 1st Battn mobilised as 9th Battn Rifle Brigade in 1939, 2nd Battn mobilised as 10th Battn Rifle Brigade in 1939. recruited from east London. Lt/Col V B Turner VC was officer of 9th Battn. One of the curators of the Rifle Brigade Museum (Winchester) in 1968 served with 10th Battn.
