Unit History: 194 Squadron, RAF Regiment

This unit was formed at Pembray, South Wales. It was one of the first Active Service Units to deploy to N. Ireland where it served with distinction.
It saw service in Cyprus during the EOKA disturbances and remained there until disbanded in 1960
The Squadron was to take part in the official handover to Cypriot Authority of Cyprus after the ceasation of EOKA hostilities, where they paraded as the Honour Guard for the handover to Archbishop Makerious and Dr Kachuk in Episkopi and they were congratulated on thier Fine Drill and Excellent Turnout.
