UK Home Postal Depot (HPD) Knightsbridge London. This was a branch of the Royal Engineers. HPD despatched all UK mail to all overseas Forces. British Army of the Rhine (BAOR) Middle East Land Forces (M.E.L.F) Far Eastern Bases Singapore Malaya. and HMS Ships. The Army Post Office abroad offered a full mainstream postal services ie all counter traansaction. national secrurity mail as well as distribution of all forces mail through collection by the garrison own post
units.
