H.M.S. Claverhouse originally the Granton Hotel, this has been used by the armed forces since the 1940s, and is now the "Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Centre", and houses 205 Scottish Field Hospital, Trinity Sea Cadet Corps and the Granton Platoon of the Army Cadet Force.
The hotel in Granton Square, built in the 1840s, was taken over by the Royal Navy during the Second World War and was named "H M S Claverhouse". It is now shared by several military organisations.
