HMS Dufton in 1966

Written by David Harry Faulkner

After the Indonesion Malayasia conflict we took HMS Wilkieston to Hong Kong and changed over to HMS DUFTON bought her home to Portsmouth. then at there we cleared up the oil from the sunken tanker Torry Canyon then she went into reserve fleet at the time called St Davids. Harry the dog
On the way from Hong Kong at Ceylon (Sri Lanka) it listed with internal damage and could have sunk but we quickly repaired the damage and thats why we could bring her home Harry the dog
When in Portsmouth St Davids berths were near Whale Island and thats where we left her.
