VICTORIA CROSS,: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/25027/pages/5140. Lance-Corporal George Sellar, The Seaforth Highlanders. On 14th December 1879 at the Asmai Heights, near Kabul, (Afghan War), Lance-Corporal Sellar led the attack under heavy fire and dashing on in front of the party up a slope, engaged in desperate conflict with one of the enemy who sprang out to meet him. In this encounter Lance-Corporal Sellar was severely wounded.
