Later Sergeant. Served first with the Green Howards (Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment) from 1910 to July 1918 then transferred to The Duke of Wellington's (West Riding) Regiment in August 1918. Also served in the Second World War. Personally decorated by King George V on 17/12/1919 at Buckingham Palace. Surname also spelled Tandy.
