The Order of Merit - Member (OM)

The Order of Merit was founded by Edward VII on 23rd June 1902, and is awarded to honour those who had ‘rendered exceptionally meritorious service in Our Crown Services or towards the advancement of Arts, Learning, Literature, and Science either in peace or in war. A member is entitled to add “O.M.” after his or her name.
