ANDREE DE JON G H ,young heroine of the Belgian Under ground Movement, displayed outstanding gallantry and devotion to the Allied cause by helping many R.A.F. and Allied personnel to escape from enemy-occupied territory. In recognition of this she y/as awarded the George Medal at an investiture at Buckingham Palace on February 13,1946. As an additional appreciation she was presented by the UnderSecretary of State for Air with a clock from a R.A.F. bomber. See story in page 731.
