DEFENDING BRITAIN WIND ERM ERE HOME GUARDS Lake Windermere, one of the largest lakes in Britain, has its own force of Home Guards, which patrols the lake day and night with speed-boats and cabin cruisers armed with machine-guns to deal with possible enemy seaplane landings. DOWN WILT SHIRE AWAY column of Covenanter Mark V tanks passing through an old-world village of Wiltshire where,as in other parts of England the sight is a familiar one. Despite their warlike purpose, the tanks and their crews are welcomed by the villagers!
