THE BROKEN LOCK GATE Nazi reports ot the raid varied considerably, but all agreed that the lock gate was undamaged. The above photograph, how­ever, shows the (A)gate lying badly buckled at the western side of the dock. It also shows the concrete dam (B)and the damaged machine-house (C). 149
