SIXPENCE AT 2/7 OCTOBER 12,1945 BRITISH "FROG-MAN ”READY TOGO UNDER has his "fish ”suit adjusted by a Petty Officer (right). Existence of these underwater Commandos, known as L.C.O.C.U. (Landing Craft Obstruction Clearance Units), was only recently disclosed. Special breathing apparatus enables them to remain underwater for Ij hours at a stretch, their “fins ”giving them a speed of 60 yards a minute.
