TH ELAND OCCUPIED AS BRITISH WAR CEMETERIES IN FRANCE BIS Y A LAW OF 29TH DECEMBER 1915 THE FREE GIFT OF THE FRENCH PEOPLE FOR THE PERPETUAL RESTING PLACE OF THOSE WHO ARE LAID THERE.BY A DECREE MAD EON 25TH SEPTEMBER ,1920 BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE FRENCH REPUBLIC PERPETUAL CONCESSION SHAVE BEEN FREELY ASSURED FOR ALL BRITISH WAR GRAVES IN THE CHURCH­ YARD SAND COMMUNAL CEMETERIES OF FRANCE. The particulars given in the Registers of the Graves have been compiled from information furnished by the Record Offices and the next-of-kin. In all cases the relatives have been asked to furnish the personal information they wish to appear in the Register and where possible this has been given in their actual words. The number of the Plot is indicated by a Roman numeral following the entry, the Row by a capital letter and the Grave by a number. Thus II. B. 28., indicates Plot II BRow Grave 28. In the Register of the Communal Cemetery the Grave is indicated by a number following the entry. Thus 21 indicates Grave 21 as shown on die plan.
