Family© of Walt Vowles 32 officially become the 9 th Armoured Brigade which consisted of the Royal Wiltshire’s, the 3 rd Royal Hussars and the Warwickshire Yeomanry. Catatba was a strange camp. We were all allotted our own space while we were waiting for the tanks but there wasnt much to do. So one day we went up to the Nile barrage to look around. Nile Barrage Catatba. Im in the centre at the back While we were there this almighty dust storm started. It was the first one I had experienced and it was terrible. It went on for the rest of that day and into the night. It blew something terrible shaking the tents around. It finally subsided the next morning.
