THE INLAND JAPAN OCCUPIED AS A COMMON­WEALTH WAR CEMETERY WAS GENEROUSLY PROVIDED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN UNDER THE TERMS OF A WAR GRAVES AGREE­MENT SIGNED AT TOKYO ON 21st SEPTEMBER, 1955 BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN AND THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND CANADA AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND, THE UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA INDIA AND PAKISTAN. The particulars given in che registers o f the War Dead have been compiled from information furnished by the Records Offices concerned and by the next-of-kin.
