DIEPPE CANADIAN WAR CEMETERY, HAUTOT-SUR-MER Index No. Fr. 587 Hautot-sur-Mer is a village and commune some 3 miles (5 kilometres) south-west of Dieppe. There is a good bus service from Dieppe. The Dieppe Canadian War Cemetery is in the commune of Hautot-sur- Mer and is about 2 miles (4 kilometres south of Dieppe). It lies about quarter mile west of the junction of the national roads N.27 (Dieppe to Rouen) and N.15 (Dieppe to Paris). Spccial memorials type “A” i.e. with the inscription “Known to be buried in this cemetery ”have been erected to the memory of one sailor and one soldier of the United Kingdom forces and ten soldiers of die Canadian forces. A soldier of the United Kingdom forces who was buried Ste.in Marguerite-sur-M er Churchyard but whose grave is now lost is commemorated by a spccial memorial type“ E ”which bears the text “Their glory shall not be blotted out.” xxi
