FOOD FOR THE STARVING DUTCH THE BOMBERS ERRAND OF MERCY The people of Western Holland were among the last to be liberated by the Allies. But food dropped from planes did much to alleviate their sufferings and this photograph shows foodstuffs being stowed in the huge bomb-bays of a Lancaster which can carry a days food for 3280 people.
