ZUIDLAREN GENERAL CEMETERY (Index No. NL. 442) Zuidlaren is a village 18 kilometres (llj miles) north­east of Assen and 20 kilometres (12J miles) south-east of Groningen on the secondary road from Groningen to Gieten. The nearest railway station is Groningen, from which town there are frequent buses to Zuidlaren. There is a hotel in the village. The cemetery is 400 yards south of the village on the western side of the road to Gieten. South-west of the entrance are the graves of a British airman and a Polish soldier.
