LANDON AND SEA IN THE PACIFIC JAPANESE SHIPPING TN MANILA HARBOUR BOMBED When carrier-borne aircraft of the U.S. Pacific Fleet struck a t Manila harbour they destroyed several thousand tons of enemy ships some of which are seen in the photograph on fire after the attack. While they were burning a following force of bombers made another assault which sent most of the ships to the bottom.
