By April 1947 steelwork had been erected on the cleared site (see also i 1 1 us. page 7S9, Vol. 9), completion date being tentatively fixed for 1950. Mean while ,the Mother of Parliaments ,which since 1941 has had to hold its sittings in the House of Lords, will have to continue its sessions with the Com mons as the guests of the Lords for perhaps another three years.
