AMPHIBIOUS CHANNEL EXERCISE COMBINED AIR-SEA-LAND OPERATION OFF THE SOUTH-EAST COAST In face of the German shore batteries, but without interruption from them, a large-scale combined air, sea and land exercise was recently undertaken in the English Channel. In the upper picture tank leaders are seen studying plans and making notes when being briefed before the exercise the lower photograph is of a motor-vehicle which took part being reversed into one of the mechanised landing-craft.
