UK Air Force List 1943

Search this collection

First published in April 1918, Air force lists are an invaluable way of confirming whether a man was an officer and which rank(s) he attained.

All 3 of Her Majestys armed services produce a full list of officers both during and outside of wartime.

These are a definitive list -if a person was a serving officer during a particular period then they WILL be included, it is almost unheard of for a man to be missing if he was officially commissioned at the time.

These records are for Officers only and can be viewed as a complete transcription of all the information within this publication.

Records in this collection may include the following:

  • Surname

  • Number

  • First name(s) initials

  • Duty location (not always included).

  • Seniority dates (date on which s/he achieved the rank noted)

  • Unit dates

  • Gallantry Units

  • Unit/secondary unit
