"Dear Sir
I am looking for anyone who served with my grandfather, Leslie cyril Pond. I am told that he served on HMS Antelope during WW2. I am also told that he was mentioned in despatches. I would be interested to hear from anyone who knew him or anything about him. He died in September 2001 in Ormskirk and I know very little about him.
Thank you for your time
Regards
Simon Mace "
