HMS Alcide

Dates: 1946 - 1974

HMS Alcide (P415), was an Amphion-class submarine of the Royal Navy, built by Vickers-Armstrongs, Barrow-in-Furness and launched 12 April 1945.
She was scrapped in 1974 in Hull.
Three other HMS Alcide’s existed in service, a 64 gun third rate ship of the line captured from the French in 1755, sold out the navy in 1772, and a 74 gun third rate ship of the line launched in 1779 and broken up in 1817.
