HMS Alacrity

Dates: 1977 - 1994

Built by Yarrow shipbuilders, the fourth HMS Alacrity was a Type 21 frigate.
She took part in the Falkland Conflict.
In 1994 she was decommissioned and transferred to Pakistan. She was renamed Badr and still remains in service with the Pakistan Navy.
The previous HMS Alacrity’s were a Suprise class cruiser ( 1885 - 1913 ), HMS Suprise, lead ship of class ( 1885 - 1919 : Renamed Alacrity in 1913 ) and Black Swan class sloop ( 1944 - 1956 ).
