HMS Agincourt
HMS Agincourt.

Dates: 1943 - 1872

HMS Agincourt, is the fifth vessel to bear the name. The first a wooden third rate ship of the line from the East India Company ( 1796 ).
She initially joined the 4th Destroyer Flotilla as part of the Home Fleet based in the UK. She eventually became the laed ship in the flotilla.
In 1954 she was deployed to the Mediterranean, and again in 1957.
In 1959 along with her sister ships she was converted to a Radar Picket. In 1962 she returned to active service serving in the Home and Mediterranean fleets.
She was placed in the operation reserve in 1966, and listed for disposal in 1972.
