HMS Adamant
HMS Adamant Submarine Depot Ship. My first ship.

Dates: 1939 - 1966

HMS Adamant was a submarine depot ship.
Upon completion she was assigned to Eastern Fleet, with the 4th Submarine Flotilla, from 1943 until 1945. She moved with her flotilla to Fremantle, Australia. In 1950 she returned to Portsmouth, United Kingdom where she remained flagship of the Senior Officer, Reserve Fleet until 1954.
In 1954 she joined the 3rd Submarine Squadron at Rothesay Bay until 1957.
She served 1959-1962 at Faslane on Gare loch. In 1964 she moved to the 2nd Submarine Squadron at Devonport.
Listed for disposal in 1966, she was broken up in 1970 at Inverkeithing.
