Dates: 1905 - 1920 Member of the A Class submarines. Built at Vickers, Barrow-in-Furness. She exploded on exercise in Plymouth Sound in 1905. She sank with loss of her crew. She was salvaged, repaired and recomissioned to service where she was utilised as a training vessel during the First World War. Scrapped in 1920 at Dartmouth.
