Dates: 1902 - 1911 The first British designed submarine for the Royal Navy, the lead Class Ship. She was sunk twice, first sinking was in an accident in the Solent in 1904. She was lost with all hands. Later in 1904, she was risen again, only to be sunk during 1911. Her wreck was finally discovered in 1989, and listed as a protected wreck.
