Tactical Communications Wing provides communication facilities to units of the Royal Air Force, which have been distributed to different parts of the world.

It was first formed in 1962 under the name 38 Group Support Unit. In 1965, it was renamed to No. 50 Tactical Signals Unit. It was renamed again in 1967 to its current name Tactical Communications Wing.

Tactical Communications Wing has provided important communications services in many operational theatres including the Falklands War, both Gulf Wars and Norhtern Ireland.

The motto for the organisation is "Ubique loquimur", which means "We speak everywhere". Along with their 90 signals counterparts, they wear the DPM uniform at all times.
