Commando Regiment
Commando Gunner Regroup Spain.

Dates: 1940 -

The first Commando groups were formed in 1940 during the Second World War. Members of Commando regiments are Commando-trained, which means that they are taught how to employ irregular and unconventional tactics during an assault.

In order to become a member of a Commando Regiment, soldiers have to take part in an All Arms Training Course. This lasts for eight weeks and takes place at Lympstone College for Royal Marines in Devon.
