Dates: 1943 - Night fighter squadron based at RAF Ford airfield near Arundel, Sussex. F/L Head flew the Mosquito. He shot down a Junkers Ju 88A-14 which crashed in woodland near Blackbrook, Dorking, Surrey on the night of 14/15th March 1944. All the German aircrew perished.
