RN W/T Station Suara Singapore

This Royal Naval Wireless station, one of many dotted throughout the British sphere of influence, was located within the confines of the the Naval Base, adjacent to HMS Terror near Sembawang on the northern coast of Singapore Island.

The Commanding Officer while I was at Suara was Lt. Cdr. J.J. Foggin and the "Chief" was CRE Ron Plowright.

Suara was established before the outbreak of WWII and was, as far as we know, blown up by the British forces before the Japanese took the island.
