54 Company - Royal Army Service Corps



54 Company RASC (TCV)attached to 11th Armd Div and based at Tofrek Barracks (East)in Hildesheim, W. Germany during Mar 1951 to Nov 1952 consisting of A,B.C.and H.Q platoons the Company transported troops to patrol the E/W.german border during the "cold"war.

We transported the 1st battalion,the Royal Irish Fusiliers,who were based at Gottingen. Also on the camp were a REME attachment and a unit of Royal Horse Artillery using open top gun carriers.
