
This Unit left Harwich on D-day +4
Moving through Caen, Belgium and finaly Germany.
Crossed the Elbe to Boisenburg. Unit then moved to Geesthacht when the russians took over.
Detachments/Batteries were also stationed in Harburg and Cuxhaven.

297 (Kent Yeomanry) LAA Regiment RA (V), absorbed HQ Bty, 45 (Trovel Rd) and 46 Btys from 516 Regt RA.
Today after many changes 297 Regt RA, bacame part of 265 Sqd, 71 (Yeomanry) Regt, R Sigs based at Bexleyheath TAC.
516th Kent) (M) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (V), absorbed 47 and 83 Btys 516 Regt RA.
In a twist of fate, over the years 516 Regt RA became today, 265 Bty, 106 Regt RA. 265 Bty based at Grove Park TAC, today supports 16 Regt RA in their wartime role and currently supports them on operations.
