 Dates: 1947 - 1968 YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper. Laid down: 6 June 1944 at Astoria Marine Construction Co., Astoria, Oregon Launched: 9 September 1944 Commissioned :USS YMS-425 in 21 December 1944; Decommissioned in 19 July 1946 and Retained in 1st Naval District as a Naval Reserve Training Ship. Reclassified as a Motor Minesweeper and named Siskin (AMS-58)in 1 September 1947 Recommissioned in March 1950 and Reclassified a Coastal Minesweeper (Old),MSC[O]-58 in 7 February 1955; Decommissioned in 24 October 1957; Struck from the Naval Register in 1 October 1968 and Sold for scrap.
