| Joint School of Photography RAF Cosford |
 
The Joint School of Photography (JSOP) is located at RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton. Its name has since been changed to the Defence School of Photography (DSOP). The school is responsible for tri-service training of photographers including those from the Special Forces. Courses last from 2 weeks to 6 months and includes the Photo ’G’ course. During the 80’s and 90’s emphasis was placed on training photographers to operate in environments such as Northern Ireland with the SAS and 14 Intelligence Company as well as BRIXMIS in Berlin.
