Builder - Simons (Renfrew)

During the Second World War Salvestor was manned by South African Naval Personnel and participated in the war against Japan. In 1945 Salvestor salvaged a number of wrecks from Hong Kong Harbour, including a Japanese tug. She was handed back to the Royal Navy in 1946. Sold for breaking up in July 1970 to Thomas Ward (Brinton Ferry).
