Dates: 1943 - 1946 The H.M.S LAWSON was a sole named Destroyer ship, which belonged to the ’CAPTAIN CLASS FRIGATES (first group) - Ex US GMT’ class of ships. The ship had a displacement of 1190 Tons and was launched from the Boston Navy Yard, on 13/08/1943. She was named after Sir J Lawson of the Fairfax during 1st Dutch War. The ship was on Lend Lease from the US Navy and and later Returned to USN on 20/03/1946.
