Added on 04/10/2010This was (1951/52) a small signals group assisting the Royal Signals at 4 mile point near Famagusta. My own team of 4 operators were there only for a RT/DF unit not really part of the main reason for this location

"After basic training at RAF BRIDGNORTH and RAF COMPTON BASSETT I spent 1961-64 at RAF AYIOS NIKOLAOS with shorter periods at RAF PITREAVIE CASTLE and RAF BUTZWIELERHOF.
If anyone thinks they know me from AY NIK I was more known there as BILL (Its a long story)."
