This major militory hospital was built on the site of RAF Cosford in 1940 and used the name RAF Cosford militory Hospital.
As a major military hospital, RAF Cosfprd militory hospital played a major role in prisoners-of-war repatriation at the end of the War. Dispite its planned life of only 10 years,the hospital remained open until 31 December 1977.
