HMS Mariner

Dates: 1944 - 1958

The H.M.S MARINER was a 5th of the line named minesweeper ship, which belonged to the ’Algerine’ class of ships.

The ship had a displacement of 860 Tons and was launched from the Port Arthur SY shipyard, on 09/05/1944.

The ship was sold to Burmese Navy as YAN MYO AUNG on 18/04/1958, Laid up and deleted in 1982.

The 1st of the line was a Gun-Brig 12 launched by Pitcher Northfleet on 04/04/1801, it was sold 29/09/1814.
