| Royal Highland Fusiliers |
Dates: 1959 - The Royal Highland Fusiliers was formed in 1959 after the Highland Light Infantry and the Royal Scots Fusiliers amalgamated. It has been awarded over 200 honours in battle. This dates from Blenheim in 1704 to service in the Gulf War. The regiment can be distinguished from other British regiments, as members carry three colours on parade. The uniform contains the Queen’s and regimental colours. The uniform also has the Assaye Colour, which was awarded to the regiment after the Battle of Assaye in East Indida in 1803. In 2006, the regiment amalgamated with all Scottishd divisions in the British Army to form the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
