The H.M.S ORESTES was a sole 2nd of the line named MineSweeper ship, which belonged to the ’Algerine’ class of ships.

The ship had a displacement of 860 Tons and was launched from the Lobnitz shipyard, on 25/11/1942.

The ship was sold and arrived at Troon for breaking up on 18/03/1963.

The 1st if of the line was a Brig-Sloop 18 launched from Ipswich on 23/10/1805, It was later sold to Pittman on 06/03/1817.
