Dates: 1907 - 1977 Tidworth Military Hospital was built in 1907. It had between 200 to 300 beds. Tidworth Military Hospital was conveniently located by the army training grounds of Salisbury Plains in South East Wiltshire. Tidworth Military Hospital closed on the 31 March 1977 even though the Maternity Unit had recently been refurbished.
