| HMAS ADELAIDE |
Dates: 1977 - HMAS Adelaide was laid down in 1977 at Todd Pacific Shipyards, launched in 1978 and commissioned to the Royal Australian Navy in 1980. In 1990 she, alongside HMAS Darwin was deployed to the Middle East ( Operation Damask ) as part of the coalition response to Iraq’s invaision of Kuwait. She served two further tours in the Middle East in 2001 and 2004. She was finally decommissioned in 2008 and gifted to New South Wales Government.
