Dates: 1945 - 1971 County: - Londonderry Lat/Long: 55:03:45N 07:00:31W Grid Ref: C632245 Height above sea level: 10 ft Ballykelly (HMS Sealion), Ballykelly, Londonderry, Co Down, Northern Ireland (1945-1971) Was used by FAA as lodger facilities from RAF Northern Ireland. From 1945 the naval section was attached to HMS Sealion, the joint anti-submarine school. It was transferred to the Army as Shackleton Barracks but is now closed and its future is undecided and subject to debate.
