| Department of the Chaplain-General |

Chaplain-Generals are appointed in all Commonwealth Realms and their job is to represent the Anglican faith as an organisation. In the British Army, a Chaplain-General conducts religious services. During the Second World War, the Chaplain-General was equivalent to a Major General and was under the control of the Permenant Under-Secretary of State.
